THE POWER OF WATER

Water, a sacred element

Your relationship with water will shape how you live.

The medium of universal life

𓄼𓄼 WATER IS LIFE

The element that connects
everything.

Throughout history, in every culture, people have turned to water for physical relief, emotional healing and spiritual renewal. We begin our lives suspended in the waters of the womb, and we are ushered into the world through water. Our ancestors held it as sacred, the medium of universal life, the element that connects everything.

Water is the medium of the body, too. Almost everything that carries life through us, blood, lymph, the signals between our cells, moves through water. The brain is among the most water-rich parts of us, and a great deal of how we think and feel rides on it.

To care for your water is to care for the ground of everything else.he ground of everything else.

WE ARE WATER

Quite literally, mostly water.

We are, quite literally, mostly water , around 60–70% of the body by weight, and by the sheer count of molecules, almost entirely water. It lives in every part of us:

83%

BLOOD

75%

BRAIN

94%

LYMPH

80%

MUSCLES

Water touches every function of the body, hydration, circulation, temperature, digestion, immunity. It isn’t a detail of health; it’s the foundation of it.

THE SACREDNESS OF WATER

More than a substance.

Across the world’s traditions, water has always been more than a substance. Holy water, sacred springs, blessings spoken over a cup, cultures have long believed that water carries memory and intention, and responds to what surrounds it. Some hold that even a single drop holds vast information. The Japanese researcher Masaru Emoto famously photographed water crystals he believed were shaped by words and feeling.

Whether or not science bears this out, the reverence itself is ancient and worth keeping. It’s no accident that traditions everywhere have used “holy” water in their rites. When you treat your water as sacred, you begin to treat your body as sacred too.

AND ON THE SIMPLEST LEVEL

Good hydration quietly does so much.

Flushes waste and supports the body’s natural detoxification

Keeps electrolytes in balance

Carries nutrients and oxygen to your cells

Aids digestion and helps prevent constipation

Supports healthy blood pressure

Cushions the joints and protects organs and tissues

THE QUALITY OF YOUR WATER

Not all water
is equal.

Water is life, but not all water is equal, and quality matters as much as quantity. Regular tap water can carry contaminants, chlorine, and in some areas heavy metals or fluoride , which is one reason filtering matters. The water I drink and recommend is clean and mineral-rich, because minerals are a big part of why water nourishes us:

Calcium

For bones, and for heart, muscle and nerve function.

Magnesium

Involved in hundreds of reactions that turn food into energy.

Potassium

An electrolyte essential for muscles and healthy digestion.

Sodium

Which helps regulate the body’s fluid balance.

Naturally mineral-rich water, good spring water, which passes over rock and gathers minerals, carries these; heavily processed or contaminated water often doesn’t. A note worth knowing: some bottled “alkaline” waters are little more than tap water with a little baking soda added, so it’s always worth reading the label. More than chasing a pH number, I’d focus on water that is genuinely clean and mineral-rich, and that you trust.

WAYS TO IMPROVE YOUR WATER

Small shifts, kinder water.

01

Filter it

A good pre-filtration system removes contaminants while keeping the minerals. (I’d avoid reverse osmosis, which strips the minerals too.)

02

Kangen water

The ionised water I personally use, more on it below.

03

Trace mineral drops

An easy way to add micro-minerals like chromium, copper, manganese, iodine, selenium, iron and zinc.

04

Mineral-rich sea salt

A tiny pinch of Himalayan salt in a glass (it shouldn’t taste salty) adds dozens of trace minerals.

05

Shungite stones

For those drawn to the energetic side, shungite is a carbon-rich stone many use in their water, believed to reduce oxidative and EMF stress.

06

Restructure it

Copper tensor rings or spiralling straws are used by some to “structure” water and improve it vibrationally.

07

Sound & blessings

Rooted in the old belief that water holds memory and picks up frequency, speaking kindly to it, or playing music over it, to keep its resonance high.

08

Skip the plastic

I avoid storing water in plastic wherever I can, better for your body and the planet. Glass or stainless steel is kinder.

Rich in molecular hydrogen

𓄼𓄼 THE WATER I DRINK WHEN I AM HOME

Kangen.

The water I personally drink when I am home is Kangen, ionised water, rich in molecular hydrogen. A Kangen machine uses electrolysis (the same process that happens in nature when lightning meets water) to split water molecules across charged plates and produce water rich in molecular hydrogen, a compound researchers are actively studying for its antioxidant potential, including how it may support the body’s own antioxidant response.

The machine produces several levels of pH water for different uses, drinking, cooking, even cleaning and washing produce, which is part of why I see it as a whole low-tox way of living, not just a glass of water.

A note on Kangen water

More alkaline doesn’t mean better. High-pH water can temporarily neutralise stomach acid, which we need for healthy digestion and protein breakdown. The stomach will restore its acidity, but this is why I don’t recommend sipping highly alkaline water all day, especially around meals. With Kangen water, the pH, timing and quantity matter.

It’s a personal choice, not a treatment.

By overloading the body with food, you strangle the soul and render it less active.

WHY WATER FASTING

A true rest,
and a clear-out.

ur tissues and our thoughts get clogged with the residue of daily life, stress, processed food, environmental load, swallowed emotion.

Water fasting is one of the oldest practices we have for giving the whole system a true rest and a clear-out. For a defined window, in my work, usually three days, you take only water, and let the body turn its energy inward. Once you’ve experienced it, and felt that communication with your body open back up, it often becomes a way of life.

People come to fasting hoping for relief from all kinds of stubborn things, headaches, low energy, poor sleep, sluggish digestion, skin breakouts, foggy thinking, inflammation, stiffness and tension, even irritability. What I can tell you honestly is what I’ve seen in my own body and in my clients’: it can be a profound reset. It is not a cure for disease, and it isn’t right for everyone, please read the safety note below.

Usually three days

O

𓄼𓄼 WHAT THE WORK CAN OPEN

Beyond the physical.

Beyond the physical, the deeper gifts of fasting tend to be these.

A real, restored communication with your body, learning to read its signals

Support for the lymphatic system and the body’s natural detox pathways

Deep emotional release, space for buried feeling to finally move

Strengthened willpower, and a softening into gratitude and humility

A calmer mind, and clearer decisions

A sense of inner balance and harmony

A heightened sense of spiritual awareness

In the same way that fasting renews the body’s cells, it can recalibrate the soul’s priorities, purifying the body, and clarifying the spirit.

WHAT FASTING OFFERS

Room to return to health.

Your body

The body is always trying to return to health. Fasting gives it the conditions to do its own repair, rest, clean water, stillness, and a pause from the constant work of digestion.

Your mind

For many, the emotional shift is the deepest part. Fasting is a chance to meet buried feeling, and to see your habits, cravings and comforts with sudden clarity.

A reset

A break from processing food lets your cells rest, regulate and renew, most people come away feeling more balanced and clear.

Coming home

Putting yourself first and walking the path of self-healing is quietly empowering, an active role in your own vitality.

FASTING WITH THE MOON

In rhythm with the tides within.

I guide fasts in rhythm with the moon. The moon moves the oceans; many traditions hold that it moves the waters within us too, making each cycle a natural catalyst for the movement of fluids and the release of emotion. It’s said that each of the thirteen moons of the year carries its own energy, touching different organs and meridians, and the journeys move in sync with these transitions.

New Moon

A time of beginnings and intention, fasting here can bring clarity and a fresh perspective, and plant the seeds of what you want to grow.

Full Moon

A time of release and reflection, fasting here can help you let go of what no longer serves, and bring what you’ve been working on to a peak.

HOW A FASTING JOURNEY UNFOLDS

Gently, never abruptly.

A guided journey moves gently, never abruptly. We prepare the body in the days beforehand, easing off heavy and processed foods so the transition is kind. Through the fasting days, held together in our container, there is rest, breathwork, sound, warmth, moon-gazing and gentle self-care, the days are slow and supported. Then we return just as carefully: a nourishing juice phase, and then food reintroduced gradually, beginning with light broths, fruit and simple plant meals. Easing in and out matters as much as the fast itself, which is exactly why this is done with guidance rather than alone.

If you’re new to fasting, you don’t leap straight into three days. You might begin gently, a short overnight fast on a quiet weekend, plenty of water and green juice, just to feel what it’s like. Every body responds differently, and we always meet you where you are.

𓄼𓄼 WHAT I FEELS LIKE

Your body speaking,
and clearing.

A fast is a rare and precious chance to know yourself more intimately, your habits, your cravings, your comforts, and the feelings you usually outrun. It’s also completely normal to feel physical things along the way: a headache, a coated tongue, tiredness, waves of sadness or irritability.

With rest and support these are simply part of the cleanse, your body speaking, and clearing. This is why it’s held with care, never improvised: rest, journal, move gently, and let the emotions come and go.

A NOTE ON SAFETY

Water fasting carries real risks and isn’t suitable for everyone. It is not appropriate during pregnancy or nursing, with diabetes or certain medical conditions, while taking some medications, or with a history of disordered eating. Multi-day fasting should always be done with guidance and your doctor’s clearance — never improvised alone.
